Brass Daruma Figurine – Engraved Good Fortune, Handcrafted Desk Collectible

Round, grounded, and impossible to knock over — the Daruma has always known something the rest of us are still learning.

This brass Daruma is the chubby, good-humoured version: a satisfying 35mm tall, cast with a plump, smooth form that feels genuinely pleasant to hold. The front carries two engraved Chinese characters — 「開運」, meaning Good Fortune — pressed into the brass with clean, deliberate strokes. It’s a piece that works as a lucky charm, a desk companion, or a quietly meaningful gift for someone starting something new.

Set it on a desk, a shelf, or beside a tea set. It will sit there with the particular contentment of something that has nothing left to prove.

Caring for Your Brass
Brass develops a natural patina over time — a sign of age and character, not damage. To keep the original shine, wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. For a deeper clean, a small amount of brass polish or a paste of lemon juice and baking soda works well. Avoid prolonged moisture or harsh chemicals. The more it’s handled, the warmer its glow becomes.

Each piece is individually cast, so minor variations may occur.
