There’s something quietly commanding about a gorilla holding a leaf.
This lost-wax cast brass gorilla figurine is rendered in an oxidised black finish that makes every strand of textured fur and every muscle definition read with striking clarity. The pose is considered — one hand raised, holding a leaf, standing atop an aquatic creature base that gives the whole piece an air of myth rather than mere decoration.
At 43g and 35mm tall, it’s compact enough for a desk corner or curio cabinet shelf, but detailed enough to stop people mid-conversation. A wildlife sculpture that doesn’t look like a souvenir.
For wildlife enthusiasts, fantasy collectors, and anyone who appreciates brass objects that reward close inspection.
Depending on your display surface, a small amount of blu-tack or double-sided tape may help keep it in place.
Each piece is handcast using the lost-wax method, so minor variations may occur.
Caring for Your Brass
Brass develops a natural patina over time — a sign of age and character, not damage. To keep the original shine, wipe occasionally with a soft dry cloth. For a deeper clean, a small amount of brass polish or a paste of lemon juice and baking soda works well. Avoid prolonged moisture or harsh chemicals. The more it's handled, the warmer its glow becomes.
A small amount of blu-tack or double-sided tape can help it sit perfectly on your shelf.
Cast by hand in small batches, each piece carries its own subtle character.
